Job Full Description
We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead and evolve our national sales strategy across all trade channels. This executive role is a key member of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding channels, and enhancing customer engagement.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership, overseeing internal sales teams, external brokers, and key account relationships. This role also plays a critical part in new product commercialization, trade investment, and market development.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a national sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans. Identify new market opportunities and emerging channels.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization and broker network. Foster a culture of accountability and achievement.
- Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional customers. Support account managers in negotiations and promotional execution.
- Product Commercialization: Oversee go-to-market strategies for new product launches and line extensions in collaboration with Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor trends and competitive activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Retail Execution: Ensure brand presence and merchandising excellence across retail environments.
- Trade Investment: Manage trade spend frameworks and promotional ROI while ensuring financial compliance.
- Industry Representation: Serve as a brand ambassador at trade shows and industry events.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience with a proven track record of growth. CPG, retail, or food/beverage experience preferred.
- Leadership: Ability to inspire and scale teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Acumen: Strong business and financial skills, including P&L ownership.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience a plus.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively (75%+).
