QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally away from home for extended periods of time. (70% - 80% travel)
  • Minimum 3 years of field service experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience with editing RS Logix 5000 and Factory Talk View platforms
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics systems is required
  • Exposure to servo motion systems is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Siemens Step 7 programming environment is a plus
  • Ability to obtain a passport
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willing/able to work overtime to complete projects and meet scheduling deadlines
  • Responsible individual who is a team player and self-starter
  • Detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Must have own tooling.
  • Able to adjust to change and adjust processes accordingly.

Responsibilities:

  • Modifies PLC controlled functions using Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000 platform. Knowledge of Siemens and RS Logix 500 is a plus.
  • Modifies HMI control functions using Factory Talk View
  • Observes and inspects mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Removes, replaces or repairs worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or pneumatic system.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Locates damaged air pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.
  • Ability to solve issues independently after identifying the problem.
  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, servo drives and position sensing devices.
  • Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Installs and terminates wiring for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Diagnoses, repairs, or replaces faulty electronic components.
  • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Maintains a clean, high quality work environment throughout the factory and client worksites at all times.
  • Provides feedback to management to ensure all customers have accurate and timely information regarding service failures and customer concerns.
  • Prepares proper documentation (daily reports, fill weights, down time and sign off reports, time sheets, expense reports, changeover procedures, “red-lines” drawings, SAT’S, SOPs, video and photo shoots, samples, etc.) and ensures it is continuously completed, updated and transmitted to appropriate personnel.
  • Attends briefing/debriefing meetings.
  • Red-lines drawings of changed parts and follow proper ECO process.
