Soldering Technician

Suwanee, GA

 

$18.00-$20.00/hr. 

1st and 2nd shifts available

 

Description:

 

The Soldering Technician is responsible for joining electrical circuit components, integrating them into circuit boards.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Responsible for detailed soldering of electronic assemblies (Circuit boards). Solders surface mount and through-hole components.

·         Identifies and has a good working knowledge of electronic components.

·         Performs visual inspection of PCB’s for IPC-A-610 workmanship requirements.

·         Identifies reference designator locations on printed wiring assemblies. 

·         Responsible for quality control and all applicable documentation pertaining to soldering operations.

·         Able to work with minimum supervision.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills:

 

  • Must possess knowledge of IPC quality standards
  • Must possess knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, equipment and procedures.
  • Must be able to pass soldering test
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills

 

Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Must have recent hand soldering experience; this is not a machine soldering position
