Job Full Description
An established Chemical Manufacturing company in VALDOSTA, GA is searching for entry-level PACKAGING OPERATORS to join its production team. Packaging Operators are responsible for packaging liquid and dry materials into containers according to customer specifications.
Packaging Operator Responsibilities:
- Fill various containers with products.
- Label containers.
- Box, seal, and palletize products.
- Read, interpret, and follow package sheet instructions.
- Record information regarding raw material usage and finished products on packaging sheets and pallet summaries.
- Clean up around area.
- Clean out filling equipment.
- Dispose of waste materials properly.
Schedule & Pay:
- M-F, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- $13.00/hr. $15/hr upon permanent hire with the company.
Packaging Operator Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Consistently move and lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
- Ability to understand and operate within safety rules
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret packaging sheets and MSDSs.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and visitors.
