Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Clerk for one of our clients. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, and supporting compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate has strong numerical skills, experience with payroll systems, and a commitment to accuracy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule (weekly, biweekly, or monthly)
  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
  • Verify timesheets, payroll data, and employee information for accuracy
  • Maintain and update payroll records in HRIS/HCM systems
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and payroll reconciliations

Required Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to calculate wages, overtime, and deductions
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities
  • Proficiency with HRIS/HCM systems such as Paylocity, Workday, ADP, Paycom, Paycor, or similar platforms
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workers’ Compensation and/or FMLA administration
  • Prior experience in payroll, accounting, or HR support roles
  • Familiarity with payroll laws and regulations
