Join a leading commercial printing manufacturer as a Production Machine Operator in a long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity where you'll learn specialized equipment and play a key role in producing high-quality printed products.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
- Comfortable standing for the entire shift while operating production equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
- Basic math skills, including working with fractions and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record numerical data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Duties:
- Operate production machinery safely while maintaining a fast, consistent pace.
- Perform visual inspections of equipment and report mechanical issues to leadership or maintenance.
- Clean production equipment daily, including the use of approved chemical cleaners.
- Accurately complete production documentation requiring precise recording of long numerical sequences.
- Assist in meeting daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Direct and assist Production Assistants as needed during production runs.
- Operate bindery equipment to score, fold, cut, and glue printed materials according to specifications.
- Set up print jobs, load and unload printers, and clear equipment jams as needed based on experience and training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety, DOT, HAZMAT, environmental, and PPE requirements.
- Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
