Job Full Description
Do you have a wealth of engineering expertise? Would you enjoy serving as the primary engineering authority for a recently-acquired manufacturing company that is going to have large growth in the coming years?
Express Employment is seeking either a Senior Manufacturing Engineer or a Manufacturing Engineer!
Schedule: M-Th from 8am to 5pm; every other Fri from 8am to 4pm (every other Fri off!)
Pay: $86,000 to $91,000+ DOE (pay can increase for more experienced applicants)
Location: Boise, ID
Duties:
- Serve as the primary engineering authority for process decisions, upkeep engineering standards, and assure requirements are applied throughout production
- Establish standardized manufacturing methods, production requirements, process documentation, work instruction, etc.
- Develop workflow requirements, facility layout considerations, tooling selection, equipment recommendations, and more
- Conduct make-versus-buy analysis
- Partner with New Product Development to ensure manufacturability and that products are successfully transitioned into production
- Investigate production issues, determining root causes. Resolve issues
- Collaborate across departments
- Support manufacturing cost goals through engineering methods, tooling selection, equipment recommendations, effective design methods, etc.
- Review/approve manufacturing changes
- Communicate engineering changes across organization departments
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to mentor and develop engineering team members (for Senior level candidates)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of material handling, manufacturing equipment, assembly processes, tooling, jig, and fixture design
- Knowledge of common casting types and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly manufacturing processes
- Experience with ISO 9001 processes and procedures
- Experience with ERP manufacturing systems
- Experience with 3D modeling, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Experience in root cause analysis techniques
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
