Job Title: Weigh Station Attendant – Gravel Pit

Location: Rathdrum, ID
Schedule:. Full-time, Monday–Friday
Pay: $19

Overview:
We’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Weigh Station Attendant for a busy local gravel pit. This is a great opportunity for someone who values old-school accuracy, efficiency, and hands-on responsibility. If you take pride in balancing your till to the penny, can run a 10-key calculator like a pro, and think well on your feet, we’d love to talk to you. Basic math skills are important. Not being shy on the CB to communicate with the truck drivers is necessary. Showing up every day is key. Bring me your best - this is a solid job.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the weigh station booth and record weights for incoming and outgoing loads

Accurately handle cash and process payments using traditional methods (checks, cash, handwritten tickets, etc.)

Run and balance 10-key tapes for daily reporting and transaction tracking

Maintain clear, handwritten records and logs as needed

Communicate with truck drivers and dispatch to ensure timely flow of materials

Monitor scale operations and troubleshoot minor issues or discrepancies

Provide friendly, professional customer service while managing a fast-paced environment

Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in a cash-handling or clerical role (banking, retail, scale house, etc.)

Strong 10-key calculator proficiency (tape-running experience preferred)

Comfortable working independently and making quick, accurate decisions

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Reliable transportation and punctual work ethic

Ability to work in a gravel pit environment (dust, weather, noise)

Bonus Points For:

Prior experience in construction, aggregates, or transportation industries

Familiarity with scale software or basic Excel use (though old-school is just fine!)
