Pay: $15.25/hour
Shift: Grave
12:00am-8:00am
Job Summary
Team member carries out and administers the quality assurance tests to ensure product quality and conformance to customer specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential
• Grade frozen finished product by pulling samples, weighing, measuring, counting, and recording results
• Put product on hold if not to specification
• Check chemical levels by retrieving samples from the chiller, belt sprays, flume, etc.
• Adjust chemical levels as needed
• Take readings on the blancher temperature control and make adjustments as needed
• Use approved bars to check the functionality of the metal detector units
• Grade raw product
• Weigh boxes to make sure they are within proper limits on weights
• Take waste samples
• Collect microbiology test samples
• Grade optical sorter
• Test temperature control in specified areas
• Grade and analyze temperature of whole peel
• Take environmental samples
• Assist in GMP and sanitation audits
• Communicate with supervisors, leads, and other operators to ensure problems are resolved as quickly as possible
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Well organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Basic PC skills in MS Office and database management.
• Knowledge of food industry regulations, understands and is compliant with GMP standards.
• Able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
• Able to travel to all areas of the plant efficiently, including climbing stairs.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand basic English
• Able to lift 50 lbs frequently during shift
• Must be able to work effectively and safely in a wet and hot/cold environment
