Quality Control Technician (QC Tech)
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join a manufacturing team in Vale, OR.

Pay: $20.50/hour

Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off

Shift: 12-hour overnight shift
-
Hours: 12:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Position Summary
The Quality Control Technician performs laboratory testing to evaluate the chemical and physical characteristics of diatomaceous earth. This role supports quality assurance, process control, and product development by ensuring products meet company and industry standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform required Quality Control (QC) testing and Dry Lab procedures

Record and enter test results and data into IFS and Excel
-
Communicate test results and any changes in process conditions with the kiln operator, shift supervisor, production manager, and quality manager

Calibrate and maintain QC laboratory equipment
-
Follow established testing procedures, reporting requirements, and non-conforming product protocols

Assist with additional duties as needed, including:
-
Monitoring the automated packer and alarm systems
-
Supporting Wet/Dry Lab operations
-
Warehouse clean-up and organization
-
Data entry and general administrative support
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
At least 6 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills & Competencies

Strong commitment to workplace safety

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Capable of following detailed and complex instructions

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively with QC, production, and maintenance teams

Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel

Reliable attendance

Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
