Job Title: Troubleshooting Injection Molder Maintenance Technician
Location: Chicago, IL (Near Fullerton & Laramie)
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $22+ per hour (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Troubleshooting Injection Molder Maintenance Technician to support our production and maintenance teams. This role is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining injection molding machines while helping reduce downtime and production scrap. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in a plastic injection molding environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform technical troubleshooting on injection molding machines, components, and auxiliary equipment

Operate and monitor injection molding machines during production

Assist with process development and optimization for plastic injection molding

Minimize production scrap rates and machine downtime through efficient troubleshooting and maintenance

Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on molding equipment

Assist in identifying process improvements to increase productivity

Train and support other team members when needed
Qualifications:
-
2–5+ years of experience in plastic injection molding process development

Knowledge of scientific molding principles

Basic understanding of injection molding tool design

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Reliable with a strong work ethic

Ability to train and support team members

High School Diploma or GED required

Degree in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
