Position: CNC Router Programmer
Location: Crystal Lake, IL
Pay: $20-30Hr BOE
Are you an experienced CNC Router Programmer looking for a new challenge? Join our client’s team in Crystal Lake, IL, and become part of a vibrant and innovative culture! In this role, you will operate and program CNC lathe/mill/routers to produce custom duct, fume scrubbers, vessels, reactors, tanks, and pipe fabrication. You’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge manufacturing, responsible for programming and setting up CNC routers, operating machining processes, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting

Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs for multiple Thermwood routers
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining operations
- Set up and operate CNC machines to ensure programs run correctly
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain quality and precision
- Utilize inventory management systems to track stock levels and maintain updated records
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to optimize machining processes
Qualifications:
- CNC setup, operating, and programming experience
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD); Mastercam 2018 or newer experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient in utilizing precision measurement instruments (tape measure, caliper, etc.)
- Ability to work up to 50 hours a week (frequent overtime available)
- Familiarity with writing and editing G-code
- Plastics knowledge is a plus
- Experience with Thermwood routers and software (or any router brand) is a plus
