Job Full Description

A well-established manufacturing company in Cary, IL is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their engineering team. 

 

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform lab tests and experiments related to materials development, analysis, and characterization.
• Prepare and analyze samples of polymers, metals, ceramics, and composites using standard lab techniques.
• Assist in developing and optimizing material formulations and processes.
• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Record, organize, and interpret experimental data with precision.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.
• Follow safety protocols and help maintain a safe, clean lab environment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic understanding of lab techniques, chemical handling, and analytical methods.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with lab software and chemistry experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (due to export compliance regulations).
