Our client, a manufacturing company in Cary, IL, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their 1ST SHIFT team!
In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical components of high-speed production equipment, support engineering projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintenance Technician Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Maintenance Technician Pay Rate:
$23.00 - $25.00/hr (based on experience)
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical components of high-speed production equipment
- Repair or rebuild spare parts for production equipment
- Upgrade electrical and electronic controls, including design, fabrication, installation, and programming
- Overhaul machinery and collaborate with Engineering on new equipment or upgrades
- Assemble, install, and debug in-house built machinery
- Provide detailed purchasing requests for repair parts and engineering projects
- Design and build test/training equipment for various devices
- Write operational and troubleshooting manuals
- Assist with and/or administer training for production mechanics
Job Elements and Position Responsibilities:
- Execute work orders in a timely manner
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing facility and production equipment
- Communicate effectively regarding facility and equipment status
- Support team-based maintenance activities
- Access and update preventative maintenance records using PC software
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas including production and maintenance zones
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Comply with all facility safety requirements
- Work holidays, overtime, and respond to call-ins as needed
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Able to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Able to climb ladders and hear warning signals/verbal alerts
- Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Able to discern color differences in machine components
- Willing to be certified on a forklift
