Our client located in Cary, IL is looking for Sorters to join their 1st SHIFT team!
In this position, you will perform detailed inspection of precision-machined parts to identify non-conformance, maintain quality and safety standards, and keep accurate records. If you have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy working in a clean, organized environment, this may be the job for you!
Pay: $16.00/hr
Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:00am – 3:30pm
Sorter Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspection of precision parts using a microscope and various gauges.
- Identify and confirm non-conforming parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications.
- Accurately contain, label, and route production lots.
- Provide supervisors samples for approval before completing job assignments.
- Support inspection and secondary departments as needed.
- Communicate with supervisor, foreman, and other departments regarding quality and job status.
Sorter Physical Requirements:
- Adequate manual dexterity to handle delicate parts and tools.
- Corrected visual acuity for reading directions and inspecting small precision components.
- Ability to work for extended periods using a microscope, including frequent sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and stooping.
- Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
Sorter Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math for counting and inventory.
- Able to work self-directed in a multitask environment.
- Computer proficient with strong keyboarding skills.
- Detail-oriented self-starter with strong organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Good attendance and work performance history.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
