Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a well-established construction contractor in Mchenry County to hire a Project Accountant. This role supports project managers by handling job cost accounting, progress billing, payroll coordination, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile project billings and job costs
- Track cash flow and project financial performance
- Process payroll and union benefits
- Manage accounts payable and subcontractor payments
- Support project closeout and final financial reporting
- Maintain accurate, compliant financial documentation
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of construction or project accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software
- Ability to multitask and work independently or on a team
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field required
