CNC Operator – Cary, IL | 1st Shift
Our client, a precision manufacturing company in Cary, IL, is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join their 1st Shift team. In this role, you will prepare, set up, and operate CNC turning and milling centers to manufacture high-precision parts.
CNC Operator Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 1st Shift
Pay Range: $20.00 – $30.00/hr (Based on experience)
CNC Operator Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC turning centers and milling centers to fabricate close-tolerance precision parts
- Prepare machines by studying routers, blueprints, drawings, samples, and manuals
- Install and run computerized CNC instructions per work orders
- Verify parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and edge finders
- Perform in-process inspections, quality tests, and operational checks
- Document work by completing required forms, reports, logs, and sign-offs
- Deburr and handle parts to customer specifications
CNC Operator Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job routers
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, edge finders)
- Basic understanding of CNC controls and cutting tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic machine skills
