Job Title: Environmental Services Technician (Cleaner)
City and State: McHenry, IL (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $19.00–$20.00/hour
Schedule/Shift: 40 hours/week; 5 consecutive 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends; 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time (Temp-to-Hire)
Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to support one of the nation’s top 10 hospitals in McHenry, IL. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms and common areas
- Maintain strict hygiene and infection control standards
- Complete discharge and turnover cleaning between patient stays
- Clean public restrooms and ancillary spaces thoroughly
- Follow all hospital safety protocols and procedures
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience with sterile or hospital-grade cleaning required (hotel housekeeping experience accepted)
- Must be COVID-19 vaccinated
- Annual flu vaccination required
- Ability to work evening shifts and rotating weekends
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Professional attitude and comfort working around patients in a healthcare setting
