Job Title: Material Handler
City and State: Crystal Lake, IL
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $17.51/hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for unloading, verifying, receiving, and distributing materials to support production operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy and maintains proper documentation of all material movements.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists for accuracy in count and part numbers
- Label, store, and distribute materials to appropriate departments or inventory locations
- Enter receipts and inventory data into the system and maintain accurate records
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory adjustments as directed
- Operate a forklift and prepare pick tickets or kits as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1–3 years of material handling experience
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) and strong math abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently
