Job Title: CNC Mill Operator
City and State: Cary, IL
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $38.00/hour (+15% Shift Diff) + $1,500 Hiring Bonus
Schedule/Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00pm-2:00am Monday - Thursday
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Summary:
As a CNC Mill Operator, you will prepare, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to fabricate highly precision-machined parts. This role requires working with close-tolerance equipment, verifying product quality, and maintaining accurate production documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling centers according to work orders, routers, and blueprints.
- Study drawings, blueprints, samples, and manuals to install computerized instructions and prepare equipment for production.
- Perform quality inspections and operational checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Verify finished parts using precision measuring equipment and perform deburring as required.
- Complete required forms, reports, logs, records, and production sign-offs accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, indicators, edge finders, and blueprints.
- Basic understanding of CNC controls, cutting tools, and mechanical systems.
- Previous CNC milling experience preferred, especially with multi-axis milling; higher wages available for candidates with G-code experience.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
