Job Title: MMO II – Straightening Operator
City and State: Crystal Lake, IL
Pay Rate: $19.50+/Hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 12:00 AM-8:00 AM (3rd Shift)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Summary:
The MMO II – Straightening Operator is responsible for straightening, flattening, and inspecting heat-treated steel components to ensure they meet required dimensional and quality specifications. This hands-on role supports production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate hydraulic presses and straightening equipment to bring steel components within required tolerances.
- Read and follow work orders, process instructions, and production schedules.
- Perform visual inspections and measurements to verify product quality standards are met.
- Safely move materials and finished products using forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all PPE and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, production, metal fabrication, or industrial experience preferred.
- Experience operating presses, straightening equipment, or heavy industrial machinery is a plus.
- Ability to use measuring devices and perform basic quality inspections.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
