Summary:
Join a flexible packaging manufacturing team as a Lead Printing Press Operator. This role is responsible for leading press operations, ensuring quality standards are met, coordinating with pre-press personnel, and maintaining efficient production processes. Candidates should have extensive experience operating web printing presses and leading press crews.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate web printing press equipment according to work instructions and production requirements.
- Coordinate with pre-press personnel to ensure cylinders, plates, and materials are ready for production runs.
- Perform quality inspections, monitor camera inspection systems, and ensure adherence to quality assurance standards.
- Complete production documentation, inventory transactions, and operator notes using company software systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to support efficient production.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Web Offset, Roto Gravure, or Flexographic Press Operator.
- Experience leading web printing press crews in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; Radius ERP experience is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and basic graph interpretation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a production environment with moderate noise levels.
