Job Title: Buyer/Planner

Schedule/Shift: 8:00AM-5:00PM- M-F/1st Shift

Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to support purchasing, inventory management, and production planning activities. This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material flow to production through effective supplier management, inventory control, and ERP system utilization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing activities, maintain purchase orders, and coordinate with domestic and international suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels, review MRP recommendations, and plan inventory transfers between facilities to support production requirements.
- Resolve receiving discrepancies, material issues, and non-conforming product concerns while coordinating corrective actions with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate delivery schedules, expedite orders when necessary, and generate purchasing and inventory reports for operational review.
- Utilize ERP systems to receive inbound shipments, investigate inventory issues, and collaborate with production, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure parts availability.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, inventory planning, or materials management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and ERP/MRP software; Microsoft Dynamics AX experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage supplier and internal customer relationships.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
