CNC Programmer/Operator
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be able to read and interpret blueprints, make program adjustments, set up machines, and produce quality parts to required specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures.
- Load programs and make necessary program adjustments or offsets.
- Set machine speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters as needed.
- Perform machine setups and verify first-piece production.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate corrections.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous CNC programming and operating experience required.
- Experience with CNC machine setup and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of CNC programming, machine offsets, speeds, feeds, and tooling.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements as required.
- Ability to lift and move materials and tooling as required by the position.
- Ability to work safely around operating machinery, metal materials, and industrial equipment.
