Industrial Painter

Position Overview
The Industrial Painter plays a mission-critical role in preparing, coating, and finishing metal components for custom fabrication projects. This position requires strong paint-booth proficiency, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to operate with consistency in a deadline-driven setting. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare surfaces through sanding, grinding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal adhesion.
• Apply primers, paints, and coatings using spray equipment in accordance with project and safety specifications.
• Inspect finished products to maintain uniformity, thickness, and quality standards.
• Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance on paint-booth systems.
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and quality documentation.
• Work cross-functionally with fabrication and welding teams to meet daily production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.
Required Skills and Experience
• Prior experience as an industrial, automotive, or fabrication painter.
• Proficient with HVLP spray systems and industrial coating materials.
• Understanding of paint-booth ventilation, curing processes, and safety protocols.
• Ability to consistently lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality output.
• Reliable attendance and strong communication across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a metal fabrication or custom manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
• Familiarity with surface preparation equipment and industrial finishing standards.
