Company Info:
Join a growing manufacturing company on the west side of Indianapolis specializing in fabricated metal components and assemblies. This organization is focused on quality, continuous improvement, and investing in strong engineering talent to support long-term growth.


Job Summary:

  • Develop and implement inspection procedures for fabricated metal parts and assemblies
  • Create inspection plans, sampling methods, and measurement processes based on drawings and specifications
  • Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality standards
  • Support receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality
  • Conduct capability studies, audits, and gage R&R activities
  • Lead root cause analysis (5 Why, fishbone, etc.) and drive corrective actions
  • Manage nonconformance processes including RMAs, containment, and resolution
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC
  • Maintain quality documentation and ensure compliance with quality systems
  • Assist with validation of new processes, equipment, and product launches

Pay:
Based on experience


Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerancing
  • Experience with fabricated metals, machining, or assemblies preferred
  • Proficiency with metrology tools and measurement systems
  • Experience with CMM (operation or programming preferred)
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, CAPA, and statistical methods
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Minitab preferred
  • CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) preferred
  • Equivalent experience will be considered
