Job Full Description
Job Summary:
- Receives shipments and signs paperwork upon receipt.
- Unloads packages from incoming trucks.
- Inspects contents to ensure they are undamaged.
- Verifies packages according to order and invoices.
- Contacts supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified.
- Assumes responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
- Operates a scanner to record amounts of items received.
- Maintains accurate records and assist in inventory control
- Moves materials and items from receiving storage areas to designated areas within the plant
- Operates equipment including forklift and turret truck in a safe manner
- Wears the proper safety equipment.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Location: Lebanon, IN
Position Type: Evaluation hire.
Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.
Pay: $18.00/hr.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Experience in operating forklifts
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods
- Can read, write and speak English
