Review supplier-submitted NDT technique sheets for compliance with AR-Los Angeles specifications and drawing requirements. Coordinate with suppliers to develop and approve technique sheets.

Manage the site NDT supply base, ensuring compliance with requirements for sub-tier suppliers, conducting audits, and assessing potential new suppliers.

Review and approve in-house process specifications and NDT techniques.

Provide training and testing to Level I and Level II personnel.

Develop, review, and approve NDT techniques in collaboration with Level II personnel.

Write, review, and approve specifications related to NDT.

Support product review boards for inspectability.

Prepare for customer and internal audits related to NDT.

Lead corrective action reviews for audit or NCR findings.

Maintain current Level III certifications and participate in the direction of the NDT department.

Conduct audits and surveillance of quality systems and processes.

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of related experience, or a Graduate Degree with 7+ years of experience. In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of relevant experience required.

Active Level III ASNT and/or NAS410 certifications.

NDT certifications in RT (Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), UT (Ultrasonic), or PT (Penetrant) preferred.

Direct experience with aerospace metallic product testing.

Hands-on manufacturing experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Proficient in a variety of NDT techniques and equipment; strong blueprint reading skills.

Familiarity with industry NDT standards (NAS410, ASTM 1742, ASTM 1417, ASTM 1444, AMS-STD-2154, etc.).

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; team-oriented.

Well-organized with strong computer skills.

Auditing experience and Process Certification preferred.

Ability to respond to customer needs, including occasional weekend work.
