Review supplier-submitted NDT technique sheets to ensure compliance with AR–Los Angeles specifications and engineering drawings.

Coordinate with suppliers to develop, revise, and approve NDT technique sheets.

Manage and assess the NDT supplier base, including sub-tier supplier compliance, audits, and qualification of new suppliers.

Review, write, and approve in-house NDT process specifications and techniques.

Develop, review, and approve NDT techniques in collaboration with Level II personnel.

Provide training, qualification, and testing for Level I and Level II NDT personnel.

Write, review, and approve NDT-related specifications and procedures.

Support product review boards related to inspectability and test methods.

Prepare for and support internal and customer audits related to NDT.

Lead corrective action reviews stemming from audits or nonconformance reports (NCRs).

Maintain current Level III certifications and help guide the direction of the NDT department.

Conduct audits and surveillance of quality systems and manufacturing processes.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of related experience, or a graduate degree with 7+ years of experience. In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of relevant experience may be considered.

Active Level III certification per ASNT and/or NAS410.

NDT certifications in RT, DR, UT, and/or PT preferred.

Direct experience with aerospace metallic product testing.

Hands-on manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Advanced knowledge of NDT techniques, equipment, and interpretation methods.

Strong blueprint and specification reading skills.

Working knowledge of applicable industry standards, including NAS410, ASTM 1742, ASTM 1417, ASTM 1444, AMS-STD-2154, and related specifications.

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

Highly organized with solid computer proficiency.

Auditing experience and Process Certification preferred.

Ability to support customer needs, including occasional weekend work as required.
