Job Title: Production Trainer 

Position Summary: 
The Production Trainer is responsible for onboarding and training employees in production/assembly roles. This position ensures team members are properly trained on processes, safety standards, and quality expectations in alignment with company procedures. The Trainer supports skill development, reinforces best practices, and helps employees successfully perform job duties independently. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Train new hires on production assembly processes, tools, and equipment  
  • Provide hands-on instruction based on work instructions, blueprints, and specifications  
  • Demonstrate proper use of machinery, tools, and safety procedures  
  • Coach employees on accounts such as assembly techniques, quality standards, and workflow efficiency  
  • Monitor trainee progress and provide feedback to improve performance  
  • Reinforce understanding of payables vs. receivables of tasks (sequence, workflow, and accuracy in production steps) (optional tweak if needed)  
  • Ensure trainees understand and follow company policies, safety standards, and OSHA requirements  
  • Assist with cross-training employees across multiple stations and departments   
  • Work closely with supervisors to identify skill gaps and training needs  
  • Maintain training documentation and track employee progress  

 

Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment required  
  • Prior training, mentoring, or leadership experience preferred  
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, tools, and quality standards  
  • Ability to clearly communicate instructions and demonstrate tasks effectively  
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs  
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, coaching-oriented approach  

 

Additional Notes: 

This role requires someone who not only understands the production process but can effectively teach it. The ideal candidate is hands-on, approachable, and able to break down complex tasks into clear, repeatable steps for new employees.
