About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Deputy Director of Resources & Operations to lead financial operations and support overall organizational management. This leadership role partners closely with executive leadership and senior staff to drive fiscal integrity, operational efficiency, and long-term strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and regulatory filings
- Monitor cash flow, grants/contracts, and overall financial health
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external vendors
- Provide oversight of facilities, IT systems, and operational infrastructure
- Lead, mentor, and supervise fiscal/finance staff
- Support strategic planning and collaborate across departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of fiscal management, accounting principles, and budgeting
- Experience in nonprofit and grant-funded environments preferred
- CPA or CMA designation a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
