About the Role
Express Employment Professionals is hiring Take Up Operators for Southwire Company. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with the potential to be hired on full-time. You’ll work in a hands-on production role supporting the rewinding and quality checking of wire products.
Shift
What You’ll Do

Rewind wire to the correct length
-
Perform spark testing to ensure product quality

Strip insulation from copper and aluminum wire
-
Tag and package finished product correctly

Inspect product to meet specifications
-
Make minor repairs or patches on defective material

Assist with printing, paint removal, or reprinting as needed

Keep your work area clean and organized

Follow instructions and communicate with your team
What You Need

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Ability to read, write, and speak English (Spanish is a plus)

Previous machine operating experience

Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand for long periods

Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
Work Environment

Standing, lifting, and repetitive movement required
