Job Title: Assembler – Machine Shop
Position Summary:
The Assembler is responsible for supporting production in a machine shop environment by assembling components, preparing parts, and assisting with general manufacturing tasks. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a machine operator position in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules
- Inspect parts for quality and report any defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
- Support machine operators and other production staff as needed
- Handle materials, load/unload parts, and prepare items for machining or shipment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Prior manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required
- Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring tools (calipers, tape measure, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Dependable with a good attendance record
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight as needed
