Job Title: Collections Specialist
Pay: $20/hour

Reports To: Director of Finance
Job Summary
The Collections Specialist is responsible for maintaining positive cash flow by managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable. This role involves contacting customers via phone, email, and written communication to resolve overdue balances and negotiate payment arrangements. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances through consistent follow-up.
- Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve overdue accounts and payment discrepancies.
- Negotiate payment plans that align with customer needs while following company policies and legal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements.
- Prepare reports on account status, aging, and collection efforts for management review.
- Investigate and resolve billing disputes by working with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Evaluate customer credit histories to assess creditworthiness and minimize risk.
- Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and increase efficiency.
- Generate and distribute customer statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and ethical collection practices.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support overall financial and operational goals.

Education & Experience
