Quality Control (QC) Technician – Cryogenic Trailer Industry
Location: In Person
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Technician to join a growing team in the cryogenic trailer industry. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying specialized tank trailers used to transport liquefied gases at extremely low temperatures. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to ensure products meet strict safety and regulatory standards.
This is a hands-on position working closely with production, engineering, and plant leadership to maintain the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing and refurbishment process.
Key Responsibilities

Perform visual inspections of welds for penetration, consistency, and defects

Verify proper installation and alignment of trailer components

Conduct vacuum integrity testing on insulated cryogenic vessels

Perform pressure testing and assist with acoustic emission testing procedures

Ensure trailers meet DOT and industry specifications, including MC-338 standards

Maintain accurate inspection records, test documentation, and repair logs

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

Use hand tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic testing equipment

Communicate inspection findings with production and engineering teams

Report directly to the Plant Supervisor
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Technical training or an associate degree in welding, quality control, manufacturing, or related field preferred

Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred

Experience with cryogenic tanks, pressure vessels, or trailer manufacturing is a plus

Ability to read blueprints and technical documents

Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Welding inspection or ASQ certifications are a plus
