Heavy Equipment Operator – Overhead Cranes & Large Diesel Forklifts
Location: Kansas City, KS (KCK)
Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour (Based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for a key client in Kansas City, KS. This position involves operating overhead cranes and large diesel forklifts in an industrial setting. Prior experience with Mi-Jack travel lifts is a big plus and highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead bridge cranes safely and efficiently
- Drive and maneuver large diesel-powered forklifts (up to 36,000 lbs or more)
- Load, unload, and transport heavy materials and equipment
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to support smooth operations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating overhead cranes and/or heavy diesel forklifts
- Experience with Mi-Jack or similar gantry/travel lifts is preferred
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working in outdoor or industrial environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
