Customer Service Representative
Location: Kansas City, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay: $20-22 DOE
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support Service Center and Account Managers with daily sales and customer service activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining existing customer relationships, supporting sales growth, and ensuring accurate and timely order processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and experienced in a fast-paced customer service or industrial sales environment.
Job Responsibilities:

Maintain 100% compliance with all safety policies and procedures

Partner with Account and Product Managers to prepare and provide sales quotes

Process incoming customer inquiries and orders into the sales system

Quote customers using a working knowledge of products and services

Support Service Center sales goals and assist with sales growth initiatives

Assist Accounts Receivable with new account setup and follow up on collections

Coordinate with Account Managers and Service Center leadership to keep account activity updated

Monitor delivery commitments and expedite orders when necessary

Track customer-specific inventory to ensure timely order fulfillment

Make outbound calls to existing and potential customers for new business opportunities

Provide technical and service support to internal teams and customers

Build and maintain strong internal and external working relationships
Qualifications:
-
2–4 years of experience in customer service or industrial sales

Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
-
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities

Comfortable performing basic math calculations (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)

Proficient with basic computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet

Ability to learn and effectively use company software systems

College degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
