Material Handler
Job Description
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe movement, distribution, and storage of materials within the warehouse.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all company programs, policies, and procedures while completing tasks
- Assist warehouse operations through safe material handling and organization
- Support baler operations by transporting materials to and from the conveyor team
- Complete various team projects as assigned by warehouse management
- Safely operate a sit-down propane forklift
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Dependable and reliable with excellent attendance
- Experience operating a sit-down propane forklift, including moving, locating, stacking, relocating, and counting materials
- Ability to perform equipment inspections and ensure reports comply with state and federal regulations
- Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions requiring maintenance
Work Environment
- Warehouse setting with exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including wet, humid, hot, and cold environments
- Exposure to typical warehouse hazards, including moving equipment and machinery
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment with potential exposure to allergens
