ASME Fabrication Project
| Krotz Springs, LA | $20–$30/hr. DOE | Temporary Project
We are seeking experienced ASME fabrication professionals for an ongoing 6–8-week project in Krotz Springs, LA.
Duties & Responsibilities
ASME Code Vessel Welders
-
Perform ASME pressure vessel welding
-
Use MIG, TIG, and Flux-Core welding processes
-
Read blueprints and weld symbols
-
Weld carbon steel and stainless steel
-
Work in various welding positions
-
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) experience is a plus; seeking 1–2 welders with SAW experience
ASME Code Vessel Fitters
-
Perform layout, fit-up, and assembly of ASME code vessels
-
Fit nozzles, flanges, shells, and vessel components
-
Read blueprints and fabrication drawings
-
Use strong math and layout skills
-
Operate fabrication equipment as needed
ASME Code Shop Foreman
-
Lead fabrication operations in an ASME-certified shop
-
Supervise welders and fitters
-
Manage production schedules and shop personnel
-
Read engineering drawings and fabrication plans
-
Maintain quality standards and safety procedures
Requirements
-
Welders: 3–5+ years of ASME pressure vessel welding experience
-
Fitters: 3–5+ years of ASME pressure vessel fitting experience
-
Foreman: 5–7+ years of heavy fabrication experience and 2–3+ years in a lead or supervisory role
-
Strong knowledge of ASME codes and quality standards
-
Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
-
Must be able to pass required weld or tack welding tests
-
Previous CWI certification or certified welder experience is a plus
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Possible extended hours until 6:00 PM depending on production
Weekend work may be required as needed
Pay:
$20–$30 per hour, depending on experience
