Structural Welder/Pipefitter
New Iberia| $25–$28/hr. DOE | Full-Time
A local industrial company is seeking experienced Structural Welder / Pipefitter. The ideal candidate can read blueprints, fit structural steel and piping accurately, and complete quality welds for industrial projects. Pipe welding a plus too!
Duties & Responsibilities:

Fit and assemble structural steel and piping components

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols

Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication

Perform SMAW, MIG, and TIG welding as needed
-
Install and align piping systems and structural components
-
Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
-
Operate grinders and other fabrication tools safely
-
Follow all company safety and quality standards

Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
-
Previous structural fitting, pipe fitting, or industrial fabrication experience required
-
Strong fitting experience preferred
-
Blueprint reading experience is a major plus
-
Experience with SMAW, MIG, and TIG welding

Must be able to pass required weld and fitting tests

Must have steel-toe boots
-
Must provide your own welding hood, leather gloves, tools, and grinders
-
Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work 10-hour shifts
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday ; 6:00 AM–5:00 PM 10-hour shifts
Pay:
- Starts at $25–$28 per hour, depending on experience
