Our client company is seeking a RF Assembler.
Job Summary: This position is in the manufacturing department. It requires skill and experience in hybrid microelectronics, hand soldering and bonding/welding.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembly of microwave subassemblies using hybrid techniques.
- Assembly of micro-miniature filters using solder techniques.
- Assist engineering department in the development of prototype systems.
- In process inspection and self-inspection.
- Kitting and preparation of materials using material using Bill of Materials
- Preliminary prep work such as coil winding, tinning, etc.
- Installation of feed-thru pins and substrates to housings
- Die attach of chip components using silver epoxy or solder
- Microelectronic bonding and welding using thermo-compression, thermo-sonic and resistance welding techniques.
- Close up of covers, lids etc.
- Solder and epoxy sealing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of modern hybrid microelectronics manufacturing processes. Ability to work under the microscope for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use microelectronics wire bonder and parallel gap welder.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- 5 years minimum direct experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing standards such as J-STD-0001 and MIL-STD-202
- Knowledge of inspection standards such as IPC-A-610 and MIL-STD-883
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance standards such as AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015
- Good soldering skills
- Ability to use film and paste epoxy
Credentials and Experience
- Must be able to read blueprints and assembly drawings
- A work history displaying a work ethic consistent with the expectations of the company.
- Certifications in IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 is not required but is helpful
- Soldering test will be required
