Job Full Description
Screw Machine Operator Job Summary: A large local producer of a variety of springs and dampers is looking for a mechanically-minded machine operator that wants to learn to set up and operate CNC Screw Machines to join their team.
Screw Machine Operator Requirements:
- Learning to operate and set up a Traub Screw Machine
- Set up, change, and adjust tooling based on the production schedule
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Using various tools such as hand tools and bench grinders
- Inspection using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and plug gauges
- Tracking parts produced and quality checks
- Flexible to help in other areas as needed
Schedule:
2nd shift, 1pm-9pm, Monday-Friday, with weekday overtime from 9pm-11pm and weekend overtime as needed
Pay: $19-$25/hr based on experience + bonus opportunities
Screw Machine Operator Qualifications:
- Experience running/operating technical machines required (Technical schooling or on the job)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Able to read test equipment
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for the entire shift
- Able to team lift up to 100lbs
- Able to identify and distinguish colors
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
