Job Full Description
Order Fulfillment/Container Loader/Assembler Job Summary: A stationary, gifts and home decor distributor is looking for a full time warehouse support person.
Order Fulfillment/Container Loader/Assembler responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, ship and process all daily order types
- Read picking list for shipping information, special instructions, product location and quantity accurately
- Efficiently pick and pack customer orders for shipment
- Verify product quality and quantity in comparison to picking list
- Ensure that the picked product conforms to the order sheet provided
- Ensure that product is in proper working condition and not damaged
- Ensure order and packing information is recorded into electronic system
- Seal packages by using tape, glue or other fasteners
- Transport orders to packing or stations or shipping area
- Stencil, tag, or otherwise label packaging as required by the company
- Maintain daily production and packing records
- Communicate any errors in product selection and quantity to the supervisor immediately
- Maintain a clean and efficient work area in effort to keep products and merchandise clean and help prevent work related injuries
- Work collaboratively with other departments in the distribution center to ensure that all daily responsibilities are fulfilled
- Serve as a backup for all other distribution center duties and assembly area
Schedule and Pay:
- 1st Shift 7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday with overtime as needed
- $16.00/HR
Order Fulfillment Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 45 lbs
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift and move for extended periods in order to complete everyday tasks
- Ability to use or willingness to learn general warehouse equipment such as carts, ladders, and lift trucks to complete everyday tasks
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting distribution standards
- Motivated, hard-working and dependable; attendance and punctuality are very important
- Able to perform repetitive and manual tasks on a consistent basis
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Basic understanding of and willingness to use computers
- Acceptable proficiency in basic math and problem solving
