Material Handler/Forklift Driver Job Summary: A local printing company is looking for an experienced material handler/forklift driver to help them process their busy orders and meet the demands of their customers. Become a part of a great team!
Material Handler/Forklift Driver Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials to the proper work station on the floor safely & without damage.
- Responsible for forklift safety as well as completion of daily forklift inspections sheets.
- Perform all functions of Material Handling including, but not limited to, Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse and WIP
- May from time to time load and unload trucks
- Responsible when unloading to inspect incoming materials for damage, prior to taking receipt of materials delivered
- Responsible to accurately and timely key receivables, generate ship sheets, alert to discrepancies on any documents received from external or internal customers
- Process and package and ship Small Parcel Items
- General housekeeping of Warehouse/WIP Staging and Shipping/Receiving areas
- Additional duties as assigned
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st Shift 7:00am-3:00pm with OT as needed, ability to work two hours before the shift and some Saturdays
- $18.00/HR DOE
Material Handler/Forklift Driver Qualifications:
- Ability to read a job ticket accurately
- Good Safety skills
- Attention to detail
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Good people skills
- Inventory experience
- Forklift experience a plus
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Work well in team environment
- Forklift certified (willingness to become certified is acceptable)
