Customer Account Specialist Job Summary:

A locally owned and operated wholesale distributor of fabrics is looking for a Customer Account Specialist. This position is seeking a team-oriented individual with the ability to provide excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.

This is a critical position in the company as they will be responsible for managing accounts by taking incoming calls, processing orders, coordinating times with vendor on lead times; handling shipping arrangements and supporting the sales team.

Customer Account Specialist  Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service via phone, email, and other communication channels
  • Accurately process customer orders and ensure timely entry into company systems
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding lead times, product availability, and order status
  • Arrange shipping and receiving logistics to meet customer and company requirements
  • Provide support to sales representatives through order tracking, documentation, and communication
  • Monitor customer accounts and orders, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Foster professional and positive interactions with colleagues, customers, and partners

Schedule & Pay:

  • 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • $20-$21/HR

Customer Account Specialist Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service or call center experience, preferably in a professional office or business-to-business setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role with proven problem-solving skills
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Strong record of reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
