Outside Sales Representative Job Summary
A growing landscaping and snow removal company based in Wyoming, MI, is seeking a driven and proactive Outside Sales Representative to expand its commercial client base. This role will be essential in driving growth, building strong client relationships, and securing long-term contracts. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter who thrives on building connections, generating leads, and managing accounts to ensure lasting customer satisfaction.
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop new business opportunities with commercial clients through cold calling, networking, and leveraging existing contacts.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, with the goal of securing multi-year service contracts.
- Manage and expand relationships with current commercial accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and consistent communication.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand needs and recommend customized landscaping and snow removal solutions.
- Collaborate with operations manager to ensure smooth delivery of service and address client concerns promptly.
- Use the CRM to track sales activity, maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and provide regular sales pipeline report.
- Meet and exceed sales goals to grow the commercial client list from the current base to 25–30 accounts.
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Schedule & Pay:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- $45,000/YR. base salary plus commission
- Includes car allowance, laptop, phone reimbursement, health, vision, dental insurance.
Outside Sales Representative Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales in service-based industries, preferably with landscaping/green industry experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships and close deals.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at follow-up.
- Self-starter who can work independently without constant oversight.
- Goal-driven, and motivated to grow a commercial sales territory.
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record.
