Secondary Machine Operator Job Summary:
A West Michigan based company specializing in die casting, with over 40 years of manufacturing custom engineered die cast components, is seeking Secondary Operators to join their team in Sparta on 1st shift. Located just 20 minutes north of downtown Grand Rapids, the organization has been recognized as a Best and Brightest Company to Work for in the Nation. Secondary Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery and cross train in other areas as needed
- Inspect castings for defects and to comply with customer specifications
- Hand file/grind or deburr die castings
- Complete production paperwork
- Perform hourly checks using gauges
- Packing parts according to specification
- Understand the scrap and containment procedures
- Occasionally perform relief for die cast operators as needed
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st shift Monday-Thursday 5:00am – 3:20pm, Fridays as needed 5:00am – 1:20pm
- $17.00/HR
Secondary Machine Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Perform basic math, reading and writing
- Team player who is willing to train in various areas
- Strong attention to detail
- 1 year experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment preferred
