Job Full Description
Painter Summary: We are hiring for a local, family-owned manufacturer of display signs in Wyoming, MI. This company has a rich history, and they are passionate about making quality products. They are looking for detail-oriented team members to join their company.
Builder Requirements:
- Mix paint, stain, and other coatings to the correct consistency and color.
- Apply paint, stain, and protective coatings using sprayers primarily, but could use other tools.
- Apply multiple coats, texture, specialty finishes, or decorative work as required.
- Perform quality checks on all work going through the paint area.
- Maintain painting tools, equipment, and proper safety gear.
- Ensure paint area is organized, clean, and protected.
- Communicate with Production Supervisor about timelines, materials, inventory levels, and work order progress.
- Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st shift Monday - Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm Possible Over Time on Fridays as needed
- $18/HR
Builder Qualifications:
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds (average lift is closer to 20 pounds) multiple times daily.
- Ability to work standing and bending for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Proven experience as a painter (residential and/or commercial), especially with spray guns preferred.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret color charts and specifications.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work well within a Team.
- Good communication skills.
