Job Full Description
Flexographic Plate Mounter Job Summary: A local Grand Rapids based company that provides different products and services for the flexographic printing industry. From printing plates to cutting dies, as well as CAD design services and Color management, is looking for a Flexographic Press Operator.
Flexographic Plate Mounter Requirements:
- Mount flexographic printing plates onto printing cylinders using precision measuring equipment and mounting systems (manual or digital).
- Verify correct plate positioning using registration marks, mylars, or proofing systems.
- Inspect plates and mounting surfaces for cleanliness, damage, or defects before and after mounting.
- Ensure accurate alignment and repeat length according to job tickets and print layout.
- Prepare and maintain mounting tapes, adhesives, and plate materials.
- Label and organize mounted plates for press use, ensuring traceability and correct job identification.
- Assist in pre-mounting tasks such as cutting tape, organizing plates, preparing tools, and cleaning components.
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st Shift 7am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday plus OT as needed
- $18.00-22.00/DOE
Flexographic Plate Mounter Qualifications:
- Ability to read tape measure and work with fractions
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, and magnifiers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must have great attention to details
- Ability to see color
- Experience in flexographic printing or plate mounting is preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to follow instructions and read job specifications or layout drawings
- Experience using plate mounters with camera or vision registration systems.
