Maintenance Technician Job Summary: Furniture manufacturer in Grand Rapids, MI, is hiring an Maintenance Technician for their organization. This is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Veteran/Disability Employer.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
- Dismantles defective machines, tools, fixtures, and other equipment and installs new or repaired parts
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
Schedule & Pay
- 1st shift 4:00am-2:30pm Monday - Friday with overtime on Saturday as required
- $17.00/HR
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Sets up and operates bandsaw, grinder, drill, milling machine, table shaper, router, upright drills, edge sander, mitre saw, lathe, milling machine, and related woodworking equipment, to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures
- Interprets blueprints
- Must be able to work at heights up to 24’ when required
- Must be able to operate fork lifts and platform lifts where needed or required
